larue.photo is the photographic work of myself, Ian La Rue. My passion in photography is for fine art landscapes, particularly long exposures. I shoot fine art landscapes under moonlight, chase lightning storms, and follow the stars. Slowing down and spending a lot of time capturing a single scene is something I find especially enjoyable. Using long exposure allows me to capture the world in a way that would be impossible to see without a camera. Often shooting by the light of the full moon, hiking through deserts without the aid of a flashlight, I really enjoy getting out in the world and exploring.
I am a visual storyteller, with a BFA in Visual Communications. I like to work with my clients to create unique photo sessions that capture their likeness, personality, and essence. I bring that storytelling mindset into every photograph I create, whether fine art, portrait or events.
